I value creative projects that bridge across existing divides. I have served as an elected municipal councillor and on the steering committee of the Thriving Cities Project at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture (University of Virginia). In recent years I’ve been a member of the Program Committee for the Computational Social Sciences Society of the Americas (Santa Fe) developing agent based models. My understanding of global urban issues was enhanced during my tenure as the Managing Director of CitiIQ, a global city-data company.
What is your favourite way to spend a day in the city?
Libraries, art galleries, and streets that have second-hand shops, bookstores, hardware, electronics, and maker-oriented supplies are always on my watch list (and unique places to eat).
