State of Local Economic Development in the Philippines

This report draws from the institutional mapping of Local Economic Development (LED) policies, programs, and services in the Philippines, from an agribusiness and tourism context. The mapping shows the need for local governments to create a business/entrepreneurship climate that is in support of existing national policies and for business development or retention in their local communities. This is in view of the urgency of LED in alleviating poverty.
