“As a Research Planner, Toma’s work has revolved around research and policy analysis to promote downtown recovery and planning, affordable and long-term housing, climate resilience, city[1]building, mental health, and urban revitalization, specifically in a post-COVID environment. Toma has also supported in the design of Canada-wide programs for climate resilience and climate-ready infrastructure. 

Toma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from McGill University and a Master’s of Urban Planning (MUP) from McGill University, where he focused his research on the future of downtown planning and land use development in a post-COVID environment through an in[1]depth analysis of downtown master plans and interviews with key actors involved in downtown planning. 

Toma is passionate about using evidence and equity-based approaches to support and advance urban life. Toma is based in Montreal, QC.”
