George Claydon (He/Him)

Senior Director, Policy and Research

George has over 20 years of experience in government working on urban and infrastructure policy issues.   At the federal level, George has worked on the design of successive generations of infrastructure funding programs at Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada- most recently as Ontario Director leading the implementation of the Canada Public Transit Fund in the Greater Golden Horseshoe and Ottawa.  

 Throughout his work, George has focused on improving coordination between municipal, provincial and the federal government related infrastructure investment decisions. 

 At the municipal level, George has worked at the City of Ottawa on their latest Official Plan with a focus complete and connected neighbourhoods and sits on Planning Committee in his hometown of Chelsea, Quebec. 

 George holds a B.A. in Political Science from McGill and a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Queen’s University.
