Ellie Simpson (She/Her)

Intern, Climate Ready Infrastructure Service

Ellie is a master’s student in the Sustainability in Engineering and Design program at McGill University, with a focus on Sustainable Urban Development and Sustainable Infrastructure. She holds a bachelors degree in Urban Planning and is driven to tackle interdisciplinary challenges to increase community resilience and reduce environmental impact. 

Ellie is excited to be working with the CRIS team and contribute to helping small, remote and indigenous communities increase climate resilience and their capacity for meeting the needs of their residents. Having grown up in Cape Town, South Africa, she has a particular passion for nature & biodiversity, cultivating inclusivity and public space. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, acro yoga and is currently learning to sew.
