Leandro G. Santos (He/Him)

Senior Planner

At CUI’s Applied Solutions Lab, Leandro has led a series of city-building projects addressing post-COVID urban recovery, housing, and economic inclusion. He has successfully implemented research and engagement initiatives, bringing together bright minds to inform creative policy solutions to pressing urban challenges.

Leandro has co-authored policy reports exploring increasing housing access in Toronto, the feasibility of Mobility as a Service in the GTA, best practices in North American transit construction mitigation, and enabling office-to-residential conversions country-wide.

Throughout his work, he is committed to identifying pathways for meaningful engagement with equity-deserving groups to overcome the legacies of colonial systems, institutions, and urban planning processes.

Leandro is a Candidate Member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. He holds both a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University.

I love to walk around and explore neighbourhoods, talk to strangers, meet up with friends, and read every heritage plaque I stumble across.
