Sierra Potvin (She/Her)

Research Planner

Sierra is a Research Planner in the CUI’s Applied Solutions Lab, contributing to research on Canadian downtowns and on communities’ access to spaces and human services. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Science in Planning (M.Sc.Pl.) from the University of Toronto, where she conducted research on the capacity of Canada’s off-site construction industry to address the housing supply gap.

Prior to her career in urban planning, she worked in engineering consulting, contributing to the design and supervision of civil engineering works for street redesigns, master-planned communities, and schools. She also has experience in construction management, working on residential and large-scale heritage projects.
