Sarah is currently a Senior Policy and Research Lead at the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI), where she contributes to national projects focused on strengthening downtowns, revitalizing main streets, and advancing housing solutions and policy. Previously, she served as Senior Director of Research and Innovation at Youthful Cities, where she led youth-centered national research, strategy, and innovation initiatives focused on skills and workforce development, housing, civic engagement, and social innovation. Her work bridges academia, nonprofits, public and private sectors, and international organizations, with a strong emphasis on participatory and human-centered approaches that translate research into meaningful action and impact.
Sarah holds a PhD in Digital Civics from Newcastle University (UK), with an academic background spanning public health, research, and digital innovation. She was also recognized as one of the UK’s 2021 “100 Tech Women” awardees.
