Raghdan Alhennawi is an Urban Planning M.Sc. student at McGill University where he supports research on urban policy, active transportation, speed management, and municipal zoning across Canada. His thesis explores participatory memory mapping for post-conflict urban reconstruction by focusing on displaced Syrian communities in Quebec. Prior to starting his M.Sc. in Planning, Raghdan studied journalism and data science. Based in Montreal, Raghdan will support the Applied Solutions Lab team by assisting on a number of projects, including Strong Downtowns, the Canada Core Report, and the Cooksville Community Services Study.
Fun Fact: In 2018, Raghdan was part of the smallest team in the world to cycle from Europe to China through the historical Silk Road!
