Kristy Pepin, brings to CUI more than 9 years of experience in non-profit management and organizational leadership. Her experience is enhanced by her previous work as the Executive Director of a Conservation District located in Bellaire, Michigan. She managed the Forestry, Soil Erosion, and Household Hazardous Waste Collection programs. She was responsible for the consistent achievement of the District’s mission, strategies, policies, programs, business operations and financial objectives. She served as the District’s spokesperson, advocate, and liaison between the community and federal, state, and local governmental units. From 2013 to 2015, Kristy also served as an Advisor to the Parks and Recreation Board and Recycling Committee for Antrim County, Michigan.
Concurrently, she served on the Executive Committee of the Headwaters Chapter of Trout Unlimited from 2011 to 2016. Through her work she served as an environmental steward by conserving, protecting and restoring North America’s cold-water fisheries, while fostering an appreciation and understanding of the environment through educational and outreach activities. She has successfully raised over 1.5 million dollars in private funding for environmental based non-profits.
Recently, she worked at an Ontario based clean-tech water business accelerator helping water technology companies’ businesses grow. A true business enthusiast, she is a passionate builder of business operations, loving all the moving pieces, intricate dynamics and systems that produce results. In her free time she loves to be outdoors, read inspiring business books and hike with her husband and two dogs. She adores CUI’s mission, and the bold vision that drives the team.
Kristy is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Anthropology. She also holds a post-baccalaureate certificate in Legal Studies from St. Petersburg College and is an America Bar Approved Paralegal.
