Elliot is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the International Economics program at the University of British Columbia, where he has developed a strong interest for econometric modelling, urban planning and welfare economics. Some of his academic work includes a final research paper examining artist-led gentrification in Toronto and a data analysis of crime and incarceration rates in different neighborhoods in the Greater Vancouver Area.
At CUI, Elliot is an intern focusing on identifying opportunities for the implementation of artificial intelligence in the organization’s day-to-day processes. His goal is to encourage the ethical and confident use of AI with an emphasis on enhancing human capabilities and improving efficiency.
