Benjamin Bongolan

Research Planner

Benjamin has a background in social development, urban planning and LGBTQ2S inclusion and has worked at Jay Pitter Placemaking, The 519, For Youth Initiative, and the York Capstone Network. With the goal to advance diversity and representation in the planning profession, Benjamin co-founded the Mentoring Initiative for Indigenous and Planners of Colour (MIIPOC) which is now entering a second mentor/mentee cohort.

Benjamin was named a 2018 CivicAction DiverseCity Fellow, holds a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto and an MES Pl.- Urban and Regional Planning from York University.
