With over 20 years of senior leadership experience in government, Ana Bailão has dedicated her career to fostering innovative partnerships between private, non-profit and public sectors to address society’s greatest challenges.
As Toronto’s Deputy Mayor and the City’s Housing Advocate, she managed Toronto’s housing portfolio through a period of enormous restructuring; championing millions in new funding for affordable housing construction and repairs. As a Board Member of the Toronto Community Housing Corporation, founding Board Member of CreateTO, and Chair of the City’s Planning and Housing Committee, she led large organizations through periods of dramatic change.
Her work building pioneering models to scale and accelerate the delivery of affordable housing initiatives is driven by a passion for bringing all voices to the table à assist marginalized communities et develop a more “policy-friendly” environment for building innovations.
