CUI’s Early Start Program

CUI’s Early Start Internship Program is designed to give the next generation of urbanists a meaningful, paid entry point into city‑building work. Through hands‑on internships, students and early‑career professionals gain real‑world experience contributing to applied research, policy development, data analysis, and community‑focused solutions shaping cities across Canada. Early Start interns collaborate with CUI teams on active projects, build practical skills, and learn how ideas move from research to action. It’s an opportunity to explore urban challenges, grow professional confidence, and begin a career grounded in impact, equity, and evidence‑based change.
