Calgary Energy Mapping Study

The image above shows how much energy - both electricity and natural gas - is projected to be consumed by buildings in the City of Calgary in 2036, assuming high-efficiency building standards and alternative energy technologies are implemented across the City.

The City of Calgary used the CUI's energy mapping process to determine the most cost-effective building improvements and alternative energy technologies for reducing community-wide carbon emissions to 50% below 2005 levels by the year 2050.  Download the report and presentation.
